    modified version of a recipe from 30 Minute Meals

    List of Ingredients




    18 slices thin cut white bread (recommended: Pepperidge Farm Thin Italian Sandwich Bread)
    1 cup soft, spreadable cheese (I use Shullsburg port wine cheese spread in the tub)
    12 slices ham
    12 slices pastrami
    1 thinly sliced plum tomato
    24 leaves fresh arugula
    Toothpicks

    Recipe



    For one sandwich, layer in this order:
    1 slice of bread, spreadable cheese, 1 slice of ham, 1 slice of pastrami, another slice of bread, spreadable cheese, 1 slice of ham, 1 slice of pastrami, 2 leaves of arugula side by side, tomato.
    Use this method for 3 of the sandwiches, then cut them into fours and stick a toothpick through each square.
    for the other 3 sandwiches, do all of above except the sliced tomato. Again, cut into fours and stick with toothpicks.
    This will make 24 finger sandwiches and it will leave an option for people that don't like tomatoes.
    *You can substitute fresh basil for the arugula if you're looking for more of a sweet taste.
