    Cabbage Casserole

    List of Ingredients


    • 4 cups cabbage
    • salt
    • water
    • 1 can sliced water chestnuts
    • Mix:
    • 1 can cream of celery soup
    • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
    • 1 medium onion; cut fine
    • 1/2 cup grated cheese (sharp or mild)
    • Mix:
    • 1 stick margarine
    • 2 cups corn flakes or Ritz crackers, crushed fine


    Instructions


    1. Butter casserole dish
    2. Cook 4 cups cabbage in water with salt. Drain well.
      Spread cabbage in buttered casserole dish.
    3. Pour 1 can sliced water chestnuts over cabbage.
    4. Mix together: 1 can cream of celery soup; 1/2 cup mayonaise; onion; 1/2 cup grated cheese.
      Spread over casserole.
    5. Mix: 1 stick margine; 2 cups corn flakes or Ritz crackers.
    6. Sprinkle over casserole and bake at 400 for 15 to 20 minutes.
