    Beer Rolls

    Source of Recipe

    Instant Home Cooking

    Recipe Introduction

These are delicious and do not have a "beer" taste. I make them large and use them for sandwiches. My husband love them. They can also be made the traditional way if you do not have a bread machine or even in the food processor, adding the dry ingredients first and then pouring the liquid in through the feed tube while the machine is running.

    List of Ingredients

    Beer Rolls

    12 Oz. Can of Beer
    2 Tablespoon butter or margarine
    2 Tablespoons honey
    4 ½ Cups bread flour
    3 tablespoons wheat gluten
    1 Pinch ground cinnamon
    1/4 Teaspoon salt
    2 ½ teaspoons yeast
    Butter or margarine, melted

    Recipe

Pour beer into 2 cup measuring cup. Add margarine. Heat in microwave until lukewarm. Pour into bread machine. In following order, add: honey, flour, wheat gluten, cinnamon, and salt. Make well in flour and add yeast. Set machine on dough setting. Add flour as needed.
After cycle is completed, remove dough and knead slightly on floured board. Cover and allow to rest for 15 min. Shape dough into rolls. Place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Spray tops of rolls with cooking spray and spread around roll. Allow to rise until doubled, about 45 min. Bake in 350 degree oven until golden brown, about 30 min.
