Bread Pudding

List of Ingredients
- 2 cup milk
- 9 slices of bread
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 teas. salt
- 4 Tbls. butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 teas. vanilla
- 2 teas. cinnamon
- 1 cup raisins
- 1Tbls. flour
- SAUCE:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1Tbsp. flour
- 2 cups cold water
- 1 Tbls. butter
- 1 Tbls. vanilla or rum
Instructions
- Scald milk; add bread that is broken in crumbs. Soak 5 minutes
- Add melted butter,salt and sugar. Mix
- Add beaten eggs, vanilla, spice and floured raisins. Mix well.
- Pour into greased baking dish. Set dish in larger baking pan. Fill baking pan with water up to 1 inch from the top of casserole dish.
- Bake at 350 degrees until firm, about 75 minutes.
- Sauce: Mix sugar and flour, add cold water and boil until smooth. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.
