    Bread Pudding

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cup milk
    • 9 slices of bread
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1/4 teas. salt
    • 4 Tbls. butter
    • 4 eggs
    • 1 teas. vanilla
    • 2 teas. cinnamon
    • 1 cup raisins
    • 1Tbls. flour
    • SAUCE:
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1Tbsp. flour
    • 2 cups cold water
    • 1 Tbls. butter
    • 1 Tbls. vanilla or rum


    Instructions


    1. Scald milk; add bread that is broken in crumbs. Soak 5 minutes

    2. Add melted butter,salt and sugar. Mix

    3. Add beaten eggs, vanilla, spice and floured raisins. Mix well.

    4. Pour into greased baking dish. Set dish in larger baking pan. Fill baking pan with water up to 1 inch from the top of casserole dish.

    5. Bake at 350 degrees until firm, about 75 minutes.

    6. Sauce: Mix sugar and flour, add cold water and boil until smooth. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.
