Plum Frangipane Tart

List of Ingredients
- 1 roll (7oz.) almond paste
- 1 refrigerated pie crust
- 3 medium red or black plums cut in wedges
- 2 Tbls. sugar
Instructions
- Roll almond paste between 2 sheets of plastic wrap to an 8 " circle.
- Unroll pie crust directly on ungreased baking sheet.
- Peel plastic wrap from almond paste, center on pie crust.
- Arrange plums on almond paste. Sprinkle with sugar.
- Fold edges of pastry over plums, crimping dough to fit.
- Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce oven to 375 degrees and bake for 25 minutes or until crust is lightly browned and plums are juicy and tender.
- Remove to wire rack to cool. Serve warm at room temp.
Final Comments
Top servings with vanilla ice cream. Mix sugar with ground nutmeg before sprinkling on plums. Sprinkle plums with sliced almond before baking.
