Crinkly Ginger Cookies

- 3/4 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- powdered sugar
Instructions
- Cream together shortening and sugar, add egg and molasses. Sift flour, soda, and spices together.
- Stir into creamed mixture; chill.
- Form into balls the size of a walnut and roll into the powdered sugar. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
- Bake 400 degrees about 10 minutes.
