List of Ingredients
- 2 medium onions, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 Tbls. chili powder
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1 cup cider or white vinegar
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 Tbls. prepared mustard
- 1 Tbls. crushed celery seeds
- 2 Tbls. butter
Instructions
- In large saucepan, saute onions and garlic in oil about 10 minutes until golden and tender.
- Stir in chili powder and cook 1 minute.
- Add remaining ingredients except butter; bring to boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 30 minutes, stirring often.
- Stir in butter.
