Hot & Spicy Black-eyed Peas

List of Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tsp. steak seasoning
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
- 1 clove chopped garlic
- 1 can ro-tel tomatoes
- 2 cans black-eyed peas, drained
- 1 can chicken broth or 1 cup water
Instructions
- Brown ground beef with steak seasoning in skillet until no longer pink.
- Add onion, celery, bell pepper and garlic. Saute until onions are clear.
- Drain fat and set aside.
- Combine tomatoes, peas and chicken broth in 4 quart saucepan. Bring to boil. Lower heat to a slow simmer.
- Add meat mixture and cook 35-40 minutes. Add seasoning to your taste.
Final Comments
Serve with rice or cornbread.
