    List of Ingredients


    • 1 pound ground beef
    • 1 tsp. steak seasoning
    • 1/2 cup chopped onions
    • 1/2 cup chopped celery
    • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
    • 1 clove chopped garlic
    • 1 can ro-tel tomatoes
    • 2 cans black-eyed peas, drained
    • 1 can chicken broth or 1 cup water


    Instructions


    1. Brown ground beef with steak seasoning in skillet until no longer pink.
    2. Add onion, celery, bell pepper and garlic. Saute until onions are clear.
    3. Drain fat and set aside.
    4. Combine tomatoes, peas and chicken broth in 4 quart saucepan. Bring to boil. Lower heat to a slow simmer.
    5. Add meat mixture and cook 35-40 minutes. Add seasoning to your taste.


    Final Comments


    Serve with rice or cornbread.
