1 12 inch pastry shell
1/2 pint cream
2-3 eggs
1 pound asparagus
1 onion finely chopped
1 cup grated gruyere cheese (or mozarella)
salt
pepper
SUPPLIES:
Measuring cup
Skillet
Mixing bowl
Whisk or mixer
Recipe
Slightly brown onion in a little butter
Let cool
Place in pastry shell
Clean & blanch asparagus
Cut off tips (3 inches )
Place in pastry shell
Add ground cheese
Combine eggs, cream, salt and pepper in mixing bowl
Beat vigorosly
Pour in shell
Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes
NOTES: Asparagus may be replaced with other vegetable(s) or precooked shrimps, crabmeat or boneless chicken etc.
