1 1/2 lbs. Lean stewing beef cut in cubes
1 large onion sliced
1 clove garlic minced
3 T. olive oil or vegetable oil
1 15 oz. Can tomato sauce
1 bay leaf
1 t. oregano
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
1 16 oz. Jar chunky salsa
Rice
SUPPLIES:
Large pot
Measuring spoons
Recipe
Combine all ingredients in large pot
Bring mixture to a boil
Stir occasionally
Simmer
Cook for 3 hours or until meat falls apart
Remove bay leaf
Skim off excess oil
Serve over rice
Serves 6
