Add chicken and brown. 2. Place chicken in 6 quart crockpot. Add remaining ingredients except dumpling ingredients. 3. Cook on high 2½ - 3 hours, or on low 5-7 hours. Cooking times vary so check to see if chicken is fully cooked and falling off bone. 4. When chicken is done, remove pieces to plate a cool...until you are able to debone. ***Do NOT turn off crockpot!*** 5. While chicken is cooling, start preparing your dumpling batter. In mixing bowl, add dumpling ingredients and fully combine. 6. Return the chicken into the crockpot. Drop dumpling mixture in tablespoons into the cooking broth of the crockpot. 7. Cook the dumplings in the hot broth until done (approx 5-7 minutes).
