This is a very personal journey. Filled with memories of family gatherings that always centered around food. Cookbooks are great, but nothing compares with the tried and true from covered dish suppers. This will be a collection of family memories and cookbook favorites.
I've collected cookbooks for 35 years. Such a chore to remember which one contains "that" recipe. And the books are worn and some are greasy! Those are the best ones .... the ones that the Lisa, Theresa & Nat grew up on.
It's getting harder and harder to climb up, retrieve those cookbooks on top of the cabinets, look and look until I find what I want, then put them back! It's so much easier to sit down in front of the computer, and hit the "find" key.
I want to pass along recipes to my kids & grandkids ... their favorites from years past, some they've forgotten about from long ago, or some that I've found since they've been gone, but I'd like for them to try.
I also made a family cookbook several years ago for our family reunion. I had a collection of recipes from aunts, cousins and anyone else who wanted to contribute. It's been a prize. I'll include some of those as well.
At last one place for everything. So come along ... here's the FAMILY COOKBOOK.
