    Lite Popovers

    Source of Recipe

    My own creation

    Recipe Introduction

a popover with a lighter side to it I know there is still real butter but low cholesterol eggs and lower fat milk still better then the regular kind. and much

    TOOLS NEEDED
bowl, measuring cups, both liquid and dry, measuring spoon 1/2 ts,wire wisk, and POPOVER TIN*make sure of this I tried them back in december 2004 for christmas and they came out hard like rocks that too and i peeks at them. * but a popover tin makes a difference much higher rise to them and fluffier.

    List of Ingredients

    Lite Popovers
2 tbs of butter for tin
    1 cup of 2% milk
    1/4 ts salt
    1 cup flower
    1 tbs melted butter
    2 eggland eggs
    butter flavored pam

    Recipe

spray popover tin with butter flavored pam. place in preheated oven for two minutes. remove from oven. set

take 2 tablespoons of butter. cut up divided for each pan. put pan back in oven 2 more minutes til butter is melted and resembles a heavy cream consitency remove and set aside

    mix batter
wet ingredients first. melted butter, milk and eggs.

    add wet ingredients to dry
    mix til no lumps appear

Bake Popovers for 20 minutes at 400 degrees, then reduce the oven temp to 300 degrees and bake another 20 minutes. remove and let cool on wire rack.

MOST IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER NEVER EVER PEEK AT YOUR POPOVERS WHILE THEY ARE IN THE OVEN BAKING OR THEY'LL BE FLAT AND HARD LIKE ROCKS* i learned this from experience in the past*

they make a lovely brunch item these were made today for my family for easter breakfast. they are good served with butter, jam or other sweet like spreads. very deilcous
