Good Ol' Slow Cooked Spaghetti Sauce

    Source of Recipe

my familys. from my mother. passed down to me. tweaked here and there. our own

    Recipe Introduction

This requires few tools, a Crockpot, knives, cutting board. can opener etc. etc. . small electric chopper. magic bullet or the ultimate chopper can be used. WHAT? PORK RINDS YOU SAY. well my brother has celiac's no wheat. so i use them as the crumbs or sometimes just the parmsean to bind. . works like a charm. The fennel sausage is homemade by me. but sure you can find ground in your supermarket. anywhere or just use italian sweet tastes smiliar ;)

    List of Ingredients

    2 Jars Barilla Mushroom/garlic
    1 Jar Barilla Basil
    5 Dried porcini mushrooms
    1 Red pepper
    1 Half of onion
    2 Garlic cloves
    Fennel seed
    Pork rinds
    Olive oil
    Parmasen cheese
    1 lb fennel sausage
    1 1/2 lb ground beef
    Handful sliced pepperoni
    Basil
    Sage
    1 Can of mushrooms
    2 Eggs
    Salt
    Pepper
    2 Roma tomatoes diced

    Recipe

    MEATBALL MIXTURE:
1 step grind pork rinds in blender/or processor til they are a find
breadcrumb like consistency season with a pinch of sage and dried
    basil.

crumble ground beef into mixing bowl , add porkrind mixture chopped
pepper and onions minced garlic , 2 eggs, salt and pepper to taste,
take a small splash of sauce outta one of the jars of sauce ,dash
    or
so of grated parm cheese, dash of olive oil. now the messy and fun
icky gooey part take the utensils god gave you/your hands :)
and mix the meat all together. then form you're
desired sized meatballs i tend to make them a bit on the big side.

    Add meatballs to crockpot.
then form the fennel sausage into small meatballs also. I used a
homemade sausage made from a lb of boneless porkchops fennel seed,
sage and thyme ground them up onto the quad blade food processor
    and
made my own.. you can buy what you want probably bout a 1lb. add
those little sausage balls to the crockpot.

then the three jars of sauce
add the porcinis after rehydrating them for a few minutes in hot
water. a little trick add some of that water to the sauce too dash
    of
the water you rehydrated them in..

add the canned mushrooms also, and a few of the chopped pappers and
onions if you have any leftover from the meat mixture.

add the pepperoni slices desired amount of them i tend to um use
just the handfull or maybe few more then that. cause if tends to
    make
the sauce fatty otherwise and it will run over the sides of the
    crockpot making a nasty mess,

then add in diced romas i use just two you might want a extra or
    so,
add a few spinkles of fennel seed, a pinch or less of red chilli
flakes*ididn't list them in the ingredients as of some peeps might
not want them in there,. and on top last but not least drizzle a
    tiny
little bit of olive oil.. gives it that extra italian zing makes my
    sauce excellent..

set crockpot on high should take probably 6-8 maybe turn down later
in the day.. makes a lovely sauce. :)

serve over hot spaghetti noodles or the noodles of you're liking
    hey a
etra hint this sauce make great meatball heros/subs try it like
    that
    too if you like .

Bon Appetit eat and enjoy :)
