    Unknown

    List of Ingredients

    • 5 cups hot water
    • 2/3 cup oil
    • 2/3 cup raw sugar or honey
    • 4 teaspoons salt
    • 2 tablespoons dry yeast
    • 10 cups whole wheat flour

    Instructions

    1. Optional: Grind 7 cups wheat on fine.
    2. Put hot water, oil, sugar or honey, and salt in bread mixer bowl (Bosch, KitchenAid, etc). Add 6 cups whole wheat flour and blend thoroughly. Add yeast and blend again. Add 4 more cups of flour and knead 10 minutes on low speed. The amount of flour may vary somewhat due to the protien content of your wheat.) Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Oil 3 bread pans.
    3. Oil hands or dip them in water and remove dough from mixer bowl 1/3 at a time. Form dough in your hands until the top is smooth, tuck the folds in underneath and seal by slightly pinching together. Dip the top of the loaf in the oiled bread pan and turn over, putting sealed part underneath. Turn off oven and place loaves of bread in warmed oven for 20 minutes to rise.
    4. Turn oven to 350 degrees and bake 45 minutes. Remove from pans and place on rack to cool. Brush with butter, oil, or water. Cover with kitchen towel while cooling.
