Puffy German Pancakes

- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 4 eggs
- 2/3 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 2/3 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Put 1 tablespoon butter in each of 2 9-inch round cake pans and spread to cover bottoms.
- Beat eggs slightly, add remaining ingredients, beat until smooth. Pour batter into pans.
- Bake 20 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 10 minutes more. Loosen pancakes with spatula and slide onto plates.
- Drizzle with butter and powdered sugar. Top with jam or lemon juice.
- Makes 2 large pancakes.

*We always use lemon juice, these are great.
