    List of Ingredients


    • 1 teaspoon butter
    • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
    • 1 3-ounce package ladyfingers
    • 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
    • 1 tablespoon water
    • 4 eggs, separated
    • 1/4 cup sugar
    • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
    • For garnish:
    • Whipped cream
    • Chocolate Shavings


    Instructions


    1. Butter sides and bottom of 8-inch springform pan. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, swirl pan to coat evenly. Line sides of pan with ladyfingers rounded sides against pan. Crumble remaining ladyfingers and press into bottom of pan.
    2. Combine over hot (not boiling) water: chocolate chips and water, stir until chips are melted and mixture is smooth. Transfer into large bowl.
    3. Add egg yolks one at a time, beating well after each addition. Set aside. In small bowl beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Fold egg whites and whipped cream into chocolate mixture. Pour into ladyfinger lined pan.
    4. Freeze until firm, about 4 hours.
    5. Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings if desired.
