Recipe Introduction
This is for guys who don't like chunks of tomato in thier salsa.
List of Ingredients
- 2 8-oz cans tomato sauce
- 8 ounces water, approx.
- 1 medium onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 3 green onions
- 2 to 6 slices pickled jalapeno chilies, to taste
- juice of one lemon (approx. 1/4 cup)
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Chop onion into quarters and place in food processor or blender. Add chilies, garlic and about 4 ounces of tomato sauce. Blend on high until mixture is finely chopped.
- Add an additional 4 ounces of tomato sauce. Chop green onion into small chunks and add to mixture, blend on high speed for approx. 30 seconds.
- Add remaining tomato sauce and lemon juice, rinse out sauce cans with water and pour water into the mixture. Add salt and pepper. Blend just until mixed.
- Best if served chilled, however it can be eaten fresh out of the blender.
- * Note: Keeps 3 to 4 weeks in the refrigerator.
- WARNING: Mixture becomes hotter as it ages.
