    Recipe Introduction

    Another recipe I asked for from her, and she just emailed the way she does it.

    List of Ingredients

    2 lbs. ground beef
    1 onion
    1/2 to 1 lb. carrots
    2 to 3 lbs. potatoes
    1 small jar of beef bouillon cubes (approximately 12 cubes)


    Brown the ground beef in a large pot, seasoning to taste. Mix the bouillon cubes with approximately 4 cups of hot water; pour into pot. Cook on low for about an hour. If using whole carrots, chop up and add to pot. If using baby carrots, rinse off and add to pot. Cook for another hour on low. Peel and cube potatoes; add to pot. Cook until potatoes and carrots are tender (about 1 to 2 hours).

    Mix up about a cup of thickening (flour or cornstarch and water). Add slowly to stew. Cook and stir until thickened. Keep in mind it will get thicker as it cooks.
