List of Ingredients
1/2 lb (250 g) sausage meat (any type)
2 tbsp (30 mL) butter
30 small tomatoes, hollowed-out (or large mushrooms)
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tsp (5 mL) oregano
1 tbsp (15 mL) parsley
3 tbsp (45 mL) all-purpose flour
1 2/3 cup (400 mL) milk
2 tbsp (30 mL) Vermouth
1/4 cup (50 mL) breadcrumbs
Salt and pepper
Recipe
Preheat oven to 400 °F (200 °C).
In skillet, sauté sausage meat and onion in butter. Drain and add spices. Stir in flour, milk and Vermouth and season to taste. Cook for 10 minutes, while stirring.
Mix in breadcrumbs.
Stuff hollowed-out tomatoes with mixture and place on cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and serve.
