1 Rack Pork Spare Ribs
2T. Soy Sauce
1t. Ginger, Peeled, Shredded, and Chopped
1T. Brown Sugar
1 Garlic Clove, Finely Chopped
1/2t. Sesame Oil
1 oz. Dry Sherry
2T. Hoisin Sauce
Pinch 5 Spice Powder
2T. Catsup

Start by partially cooking the ribs in a slow oven by placing them on a rack that is on a sheet pan at 300 degrees for 35 mins.
Mix the marinade with the food coloring, adding the coloring a little at a time, so not to over tint, as food colorings differs from brand to brand.
Brush the ribs thouroughly with the marinade and cook for approx. 25 mins. Turn the ribs, brush again, and cook for an additional 25 mins.
Make a tent out of foil to prevent the ribs from becoming to brown.
Serves 2.
