Maple-Glazed Apple Tart

List of Ingredients
8 ounces of cream cheese
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 apples
1/4 cup sugar
1 package frozen puff pastry sheets
1 egg
1/2 cup maple syrupRecipe
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2. In a small bowl stir together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
3. Peel, halve, and core apples and cut into 1/4 inch slices. In a bowl toss apples with 2 tablespoons granulated sugar.
4. On a lightly floured surface, lay out both sheets of puff pastry. Cut slits about 1/3 of the way toward the center every inch down the length of the sheets.
5. Divide the cream cheese mixture between both sheets and spread lengthwise down the center. Top with the sliced apples.
6. Starting with one side, pick up the end of the top slit of pastry and fold it across the apples so that it meets the second strip on the opposite side. Do the same thing on the other side of the pastry. Continue alternating until the entire pastry is complete. Place on cookie sheet. Brush top with egg mixed with1 tablespoon of water. Then sprinkle top with sugar.
7. Bake until golden brown in 375 degree oven for approximately 20 minutes. Before serving, drizzle with maple syrup.
