List of Ingredients
• 150g (5oz) Asda Good For You back bacon rashers
• 1 170g ready made, low fat fresh garlic bread loaf
• 1 tomato, thinly sliced
• 1 mushroom, thinly sliced
• 1 spring onion, finely chopped
• 25g (1oz) low-fat cheese, grated
• ½ tsp dried mixed herbs Recipe
1. Preheat the oven to 200ºC/400ºF/Gas Mark 6. cut the bread into the marked slices and place on a baking tray.
1. Arrange slices of tomato, mushroom and onion on the bread. Cut the bacon slices lengthways and place half a rasher on each bread slice. Sprinkle with cheese and herbs.
1. Place in the preheated oven for 10 minutes or until the bacon is cooked and the cheese has melted. Serve as a snack or light lunch with a large tomato salad.
Slimmer Tip
These are like mini pizzas, so use the same ideas you might for toppings. Go for red and green peppers, sweetcorn, or pineapple if you like them with a tang. These make a great party dish, and can be adapted to suit all tastes.
