6oz shortcrust pastry
1oz organic raisins
1oz organic currants
0.5oz candied peel
1 organic egg
0.25pt organic milk
1dsp organic sugar
a little grated nutmeg Recipe
Use a shallow, rectangular ovenproof dish. Roll the pastry out and line the dish with it. Beat the eggs and add the sugar and nutmeg to them. Heat the milk and pour over the egg mixture stirring well. Add the peel, raisins and currants to this and pour it into the pastry-lined dish. Bake for 50 minutes at 190 degrees centigrade.
