    Lancashire Cheese and Onions

    -6 slices of dry bread
    1 medium sized onion sliced
    2 teaspoons (10ml) cooking oil
    5oz grated Traditional Lancashire
    7fl oz milk

    Recipe



    Lightly fry the onion in the oil. When cooked but still crisp add the milk and bring to the boil. Sprinkle the cheese and then turn off the heat.
    Do not stir, just paddle in until melted. Serve on a plate. Place dry bread on top and allow it to soak up the juices.

    Serves 2.
