    Serves6-8

    List of Ingredients




    1 and a half oz of lard,
    2 tbsp brandy (optional),
    2 large cloves (finely chopped) garlic,
    salt'n'pepper, 4 pork strips (boned, trimmed and diced), 1 tbsp chopped parsley for garnish,
    6-8 oz stewing lamb (diced),
    fresh bread,
    quarter pint of chicken stock,
    8 oz garlic sausage (cut into half inch cubes),
    2 15 oz cans of baked beans.

    Recipe



    Melt lard in large casserole dish, add garlic and pork. Cook for 4 mins. Add the lamb and stock, cook for 2 mins. Add sausage, beans and brandy. Season and stir well. Cook for 10 mins, stand for 5 mins then cook for a further 10 mins. Sprinkle with parsley and serve with Shields bread.
