    Ovaltine Ice Cream Cake

    1 quart half and half
    1 1/2 cup sugar
    2 cups ovaltine
    12 egg yolks

    Recipe



    Combine half and half, ovaltine and approximately 80% of the sugar, and heat to a simmer. Turn off heat, and temper in beaten yolks and remaining sugar. Strain into metal container, and cool into an icebath.

    Turn ice cream in the ice cream machine, and turn into frozen bowl. Fold in chopped pieces of favorite candies, such as KitKat and Snickers, and spread into a rectangular mold. Wrap in plastic and freeze overnight.

    Unmold next day and cut into a square, triangle and a rectangle. Coat with finely ground chocolate crumbs. When ready to serve, stack on top of each other as desired.
