Pawley's Island Pie

Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
1 unbaked 10-inch pie shellRecipe
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine sugar, flour,
eggs and vanilla; stir until well blended. Stir in butter until
completely incorporated and smooth. Add walnuts and chocolate chips;
stir until well distributed.
Scrape the batter into the pie shell. Bake until golden brown, about 30
minutes. Let cool completely before serving.
