    After The Holiday Barbecue Turkey Bake

    4 cups shredded cooked turkey, packed
    1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce, 18-oz.
    3/4 cup finely chopped onion
    1 can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
    2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
    2 cans crescent roll dough, 8-oz. each
    1 egg, beaten

    Note: You may substitute reduced fat cheese and crescent roll dough in this recipe.

    . Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, combine shredded turkey, barbecue sauce, onion and beans.

    2. In a 9 by 13-inch baking dish, unroll one can of dough; line the bottom of the ungreased pan pressing perforations to seal. Layer half of the turkey mixture over the dough. Sprinkle shredded cheese overtop. Layer rest of turkey mixture on top of the cheese and top with remaining can of dough, stretching dough to fit top and sealing perforations.

    3. Brush egg over the dough and bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 35 minutes, or until the top is browned and the filling is hot. Serve immediately. Makes 8 servings. Recipe by Lynn Thomas.
