1-11/2 lb beef-preferably filet mignon cut into small pieces.
1 large vidalia onion -or other sweet onion
8 ounces mushrooms -
8 0z sour cream beef stock or boullion cubes to make 2 cups 2 tblscornstarch...
1/4 c.kahlua liquor Recipe
Heat a skillet with 2 tbps virgin olive oil and cook meat..turning as necessary until done. Remove from pan set aside. Cut up mushrooms and slice onion lengthwise.(DO NOT USE SPANISH OR OTHER STRONG ONION) Start cooking in meat skillet - add small amount of oil if necessary..keep turning for about a minute. Add kahula..turn stove to simmer and cook another 2-3 minutes. Remove mixturefrom pan. Prepare sauce by adding cornstarch to 2 cups of liquid. Pour into pan stirring constantly until it thickens...add sour cream. If you prefer a thicker sauce add cornstarch to cold water and slowly add to sauce, cooking until clear.Taste. Add salt if you think it needs it. Add mushroom mixture and meat. Let simmer uncovered for five minutes stirring occasionally. Serve over noodles. Great over rice as well.
