2 c. cooked, chopped ham,
chicken or beef
1 1/2 cups cooked peas, drained
1 (1 lb.) can cream-style corn
1/4 lb. process American cheese
1 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 cup biscuit mix
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup cornmeal
Recipe
Mix meat, peas, corn, cubed cheese, 1/3 cup evaporated milk, onion and sauce. Bake in greased 12 x 8-inch pan at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce to 325 degrees and cook 20 minutes more until bubbly. Combine biscuit mix, cornmeal, sugar, salt, egg and remaining milk. Pour around edges leaving center uncovered. Bake 20 minutes. Serves 6.
