List of Ingredients
2 Tbs oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 c chopped onion
2lbs lean ground beef
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp sage
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp oregano
1 tsp kitchen bouquet
1lb 12 oz can tomatoes
12 oz tomato paste
3/4 c water
1/4 c red wine
6 c cooked small elbow macaroni
5 c grated sharp cheese
Recipe
Place oil garlic & onions in large covered skillet or dutch oven; cook until onions are soft. Add ground beef, cook until beef loses its red color, stirring frequently to break up meat. Add seasonings, tomatoes and tomato paste. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, Add wine; simmer for 15 minutes, Place 1/2 of macaroni in 4qt casserole; cover with 1/2 of meat; then spread 1/2 of cheese. Repeat. Bake at F350 for 29 minutes or until bubbly.
