    List of Ingredients

8 ounces spaghetti -- cooked as directed
    1/3 cup milk
    1 large egg
    1 pound ground chuck
    1 onion -- chopped
1/2 cup green bell pepper -- chopped
1 4 oz can chopped green chiles
    1 tablespoon chili powder
    3/4 teaspoon cumin
    1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 16 oz can tomato sauce
2 cups grated Monterey Jack cheese -- 8 oz

    Recipe

Drain the spaghetti well. Beat the milk with the egg and toss with the hot pasta till well-blended. Arrange in a buttered 9 x 13" pan to make an even bed or "crust".

Cook the ground chuck in a large skillet over moderate heat till it losses most of its color. Add the onion and green pepper and cook for about 5 minutes over medium low heat till the vegetables are just softened. Stir in the chilies, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt and cayenne. Then stir in the tomato sauce. Cook gently, uncovered, over low heat for about 5 minutes.

Spoon the meat evenly over the pasta in the pan. Sprinkle with the cheese. Heat oven to 350. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes till heated through and cheese is melted.

Let stand for 5 minutes, then cut into squares and serve.
