    1-cup mashed yams
    3 c. flour
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 T. baking powder
    3/4 t. salt
    1 t. cinnamon
    1 t. ginger
    1 t. all-spice
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 c. milk

    Recipe



    Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and all-spice. Cut butter into small pieces. Add to the dry. Combine milk and yams and add to the rest. Add pecans. Knead til it’s a smooth dough. On floured surface, roll dough to a 1/2 inch thick. Cut out dough with a 2 inch round cookie cutter. Place on a buttered baking sheet. Leave 2 inches between biscuits. Bake at 450 10-15 minutes.
