    9 lbs. very lean beef, coarsely ground
    5 lbs. beef suet, ground
    1 ½ qts. tomatoes
    ½ cup ground garlic
    ¼ cup salt
    2 T sugar
    ½ cup ground cumin
    1 ¼ cups chili powder
    1 ¼ cups paprika
    2 ¾ lbs. quick cooking oats

    Cook suet and beef together until done. Add tomatoes, garlic, salt, sugar, cumin, chili powder and paprika; bring to a boil. Add oats to boiling ingredients a half cup at a time. Cook 2 or 3 minutes, stirring deep and long. Pour mixture into bread pans or molds, let cool; remove from pans and cut into 1 lb. blocks. When completely cool, wrap blocks and put in freezer.

    To serve, add enough water to make chili the right consistency and add 1 can red beans or kidney beans to each block. Bring to boil and serve.
