List of Ingredients
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 pounds lean ground beef or turkey
1 (19-ounce) can of tomatoes with juice
1 large can red kidney beans
1 red pepper, chopped
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1 large stalk celery, chopped
1 cup onion, chopped
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon oregano
3 cloves of garlic minced
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 bay leaves

Place oil in large skillet or frying pan and add ground beef (or turkey), green pepper and 1/2 cup of onions. Brown meat on medium heat, adding chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, oregano, garlic, garlic powder and bay leaves. Once meat is browned, place mixture in a crockpot on low. Add red pepper, celery, tomatoes and kidney beans.
Allow the chili to cook for 8 to 10 hours while you sleep. When you wake up, add more spices to taste. Cook an additional 2 hours on medium to high. Add hot sauce to taste.
