    "Shambles" Chilli Con Carne

    List of Ingredients




    500 grams / 1 lb of beef mince or beef topside cubes chopped small
    1 large onion
    80 gram chopped closed cap mushroom.

    1 tablespoon of olive oil
    460 gram / 14 oz can of chopped tomatoes
    460 gram / 14 oz can of red kidney beans
    2 cloves of garlic finely chopped
    2 teaspoons of minced chilli or 1 to 2 fresh chillies to tast
    2 tablespoons of tomato paste
    1 to 2 teaspoons of dried or fresh oregano
    1 teaspoon of cumin
    ½ to 1 cup of brown beef stock or water
    1 teaspoon of light soy sauce
    1 Dash of Balsamic vinegar
    1 dash of Woustershire sauce

    salt and pepper.

    Recipe



    cook the beef, onions and garlic in the oil until soft. Add the mushrooms and herbs cook for

    a couple of minutes more, now add the rest of the ingredients simmer for an hour or so until

    the chilli has the desired constituency. Serve on a bed of rice .

    It is even better kept overnight
