    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ground pepper
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 (28 oz.) cans tomatoes in
    juice
    1/4 c. water
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    3 c. canned kidney beans,
    drained
    1 pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 pkg. sour cream
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch

    Recipe



    Combine chili powder, salt and pepper in a cup; set
    aside. Melt butter in Dutch oven and add mushrooms, onions and
    celery and cook 10 minutes until onion transparent. Add ground
    beef and 1/4 of chili mixture. Brown, breaking up meat. Stir
    in remaining chili mixture, tomatoes, water, sugar and
    Worcestershire sauce. Cover partly and simmer 15 minutes. Add
    beans. Mix cornstarch in small amount of water; add to chili
    and simmer 10 minutes. Ladle chili into ovenproof serving
    bowls, sprinkle each serving with 2 tablespoons Cheddar cheese.
    Broil until cheese is just melted. Top with dollop of sour
    cream. Serve immediately.
