Elvis's Favorite Chili

- 1/2 lb. hamburger 33% or more
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper or 1 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 teaspoon paprika
5 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Put all spices above in a baggie and shake to mix.
In a separate pan add 2 pounds hamburger to 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat and simmer until meat is no longer pink. Mash hamburger during cooking with a potato masher to break into small pieces. Do not overcook.
In a large soup pot.
2cup water
1 can tomato sauce, 15 oz.
2 can tomato stewing tomatoes
1 cup V8 juice
All mixed spices in baggie
2 cans dark kidney beans, 15 oz. each
1 can Pinto beans, 15 oz.
All the fried meat and any grease..
Cover and simmer for 1-2 hours stirring frequently
Serve with Oyster Crackers.
