Recipe Introduction
NOTE: This is a recipe to be prepared the day before the game. You'll need to put this into a container and be able to warm it up the next day.
List of Ingredients
1 lb. Lean ground beef
1 29 oz can tomato sauce
1 can chili beans
1 can pinto beans
1 can tomato paste
Sugar
Chili powder
Brown Sugar
Lowry’s seasoned salt
Mexican-style shredded cheese
OPTIONAL:
Tabasco Sauce
Soy Sauce
Recipe
Mix tomato sauce, beans, tomato paste in crock-pot. Add 1 ½ tablespoons of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of brown sugar to mix. Add chili powder to taste. You may also add tabasco sauce and soy sauce if desired. Turn crock-pot onto low.
Next, brown ground beef in large skillet. Add Lowry’s seasoned salt, chili powder, and soy sauce (if desired) to the cooking meat. Thoroughly cook all ground beef. Drain fat from skillet, and add meat to the crock pot. Cook all ingredients together in the crock pot all day (roughly 8 hours).
When serving…chili will be very hot, and thick. Use ladle to spoon chili into bowl. Add Mexican-style shredded cheese to bowl of chili to taste. Add more chili powder and/or crackers if desired. Serves 4 (approx).
BTW...why is this chili "gasless"? Those who have eaten this chili made by ParisBoiler have suffered none of the ill effects after partaking of this bean-filled delight. To be on the safe side, if you want to use Bean-o, that's up to you.
