List of Ingredients
1 lb butter or shortening
8 oz. granulated sugar
8 oz. powdered sugar
pinch of salt
2 large eggs
1 oz. Budweiser
1 ½ lbs. flour
Glaze:
11 oz. Budweiser
8 oz. powdered sugar
Recipe
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, powdered sugar and salt. Add eggs slowly and mix well. Add Budweiser and mix thoroughly. Add flour slowly and mix together until all the flour has become incorporated.
Divide dough into two cylinders about 2 inches in diameter. Wrap each cylinder with wax paper. Place them on a sheet pan and refrigerate overnight. Unwrap dough and cut into uniform slices about ¼ inch thick.
Bake at 375°F for 10 – 12 minutes on ungreased pan. Cool before serving.
Glaze: Place 11 oz. of Budweiser in a small sauce pan over medium heat. Reduce Budweiser down to 4 oz. Remove from heat and let cool. Stir in 8 oz. of powdered sugar until it is dissolved. Brush cookies generously with glaze and let set for 10 - 15 minutes and serve.
