    Trademarked_Name_1 ORIGINAL GLAZED PUDDING

    Source of Recipe

    Trademarked_Name_1 chef Ron Rupocinski

    List of Ingredients

    3 eggs

    1 c. sugar

    1 t. vanilla extract

    1 t. nutmeg

    1 t. cinnamon

    1 c. melted butter

    2 c. whole milk

    1 c. raisins (optional)

    1 c. chopped pecans (optional)

10 original glazed Krisy Kreme Doughnuts, cut into pieces

    Recipe

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, beat the eggs with an electric mixer on high speed for 3 minutes. Add sugar, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon and butter and beat on high for 1 minute. Add milk and beat on low speed for 1 minute. Stir in raisins and pecans.

Put doughnut pieces in a greased 9-by-13-inch baking dish. Slowly pour some of the egg mixture over the doughnut pieces until they are partially covered. Toss the pieces until they are completely soaked. Let the mixture sit for 45 minutes. While the mixture is setting up, slowly add remaining egg mixture. Occasionally pat the doughnut pieces down into the liquid until the egg mixture is completely absorbed.

Place the pan in a larger roasting pan, and add enough hot water to come halfway up the sides of the pudding pan. Place both pans in preheated oven. Immediately lower the oven temperature to 300 degrees and bake for 40 minutes. Increase the oven temperature to 425 degrees and continue baking until the pudding is nicely browned and puffy, about 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven, remove doughnut-pudding pan from water bath and place on a rack to cool for 1 hour. Makes 12-15 servings.
