List of Ingredients
10 eggs
1 quart heavy cream
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup pine nuts
2 tablespoons fresh Orange juice
2 Tablespoons vanilla
1 large loaf rustic bread, crust removed, torn into cubes to equal 1 quart
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoon ginger
2 tablespoons cold butter cut into small piecesRecipe
1. Butter a baking dish approximately 10 by 12 inches. Remove crusts from a loaf of rustic bread and tear into small bits.
2. Place bread into baking pan Combine cranberries and orange juice and let soak. Toast pine nuts.
3. Whisk eggs, cream, sugar and vanilla. Add cranberries to egg mix, then nuts and pour over bread cubes.
4. Sprinkle 1/4 cup sugar, ginger and cinnamon over top and dot with butter.
5. Bake in a 350 oven for 45 minutes till golden and firm in the center. Can be served with a variety of sauces from simple whipped cream to praline caramel sauce.
