    2 ½ cups milk
    9 egg yolks
    1 cup sugar
    1 ½ cup heavy cream
    ½ cup whipped cream
    2 ea. 12 oz bottle Porter

    Reduce beer by half and reserve.Heat 2 cups milk,1 cup cream and the
    beer redux in saucepot, do not boil. Whisk yolks and sugar to ribbons.
    Temper egg mix with warm cream. Stir over double boiler until mix coats
    back of spoon. Add remaining milk and cream, then fold in whipped cream.
    Chill mix and place in chilled ice cream maker until thick.
