6-7 slices of sponge or angel food cake
About 1/2 pint strawberries, sliced
1 pint vanilla ice cream
3 egg whites
Pinch of salt
3/4 cup sugar Recipe
Preheat the oven to 450. Put the cake on a cookie sheet and spread strawberries across the cake. Scoop ice cream onto the cake and make it into a rounded shape with a spatula or knife. Put in freezer until frozen solid.
Put egg whites and salt in glass bowl and whisk, adding a little bit of sugar at a time, until they form foamy peaks. Quickly cover the cake and ice cream with the egg whites. Bake for 3-5 minutes until the meringue is pale yellow-gold. Eat it before anyone else does!
