    Source of Recipe

    the web

    List of Ingredients

1 pound Fresh green beans (can be thin Asian-style beans); sliced
    1 tablespoon peanut oil
1/2 large red or yellow bell pepper, cut into thin slices
    1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
2 cloves of garlic, pressed or minced
    1/4 cup defatted beef broth
    2 teaspoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon mirin or sherry wine
2 tablespoons soy sauce (your favorite)
1 teaspoon sambal oelek (ground hot peppers)

    Recipe

Wash the beans in cold water, then slice on the diagonal into 3-4 inch strips. Place on paper toweling to dry. In your oriental wok, heat the peanut oil over a high heat, then add the prepared beans, bell pepper strips, ginger and garlic. Stir fry this mixture 3 minutes, then add the broth, cover and let steam for 4-5 minutes. Remove the cover, combine the
remaining ingredients and pour into the wok. Continue to stir fry until sauce thickens, adding more cornstarch if needed. Remove to a small serving platter and serve immediately as a side dish.

    Serves 6.
