    # 4 sliced French bread rolls
    # 2 pieces of "piloncillo" (brown sugar stick)
    # ½ cup peanuts
    # ½ cup raisins
    # 1 cup cubed "panela" cheese
    # 1 cinnamon stick
    # 1 tablespoon colored sugar sprinkles
    # Oil

    Recipe



    Boil the "piloncillo" with the cinnamon stick and two cups of water until it becomes a light syrup.

    Fry the French bread slices in hot oil, pat them with a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

    Layer a container with the fried bread slices, sprinkle some raisins, peanuts and cubed cheese; repeat until the container is full; pour syrup over it.

    Place the container in a double sauce pan for about ½ an hour or until the bread becomes soft; sprinkle with the colored sugar sprinkles.
