FRIED BANANA CHIPS

Who says chips have to be bad for you? This is a healthy alternative to potato chips that is popular here in Trinidad.
List of Ingredients
6 green bananas peeled and sliced in 1/2-inch pieces
Water to cover
1 tsp salt
1 tsp habanero powder or black pepper
Oil for deep frying Recipe
Place banana slices in a large mixing bowl. Cover with water and mix in the salt and habanero.
Soak the slices for 10 minutes then drain the water and set aside. In a frying pan heat oil to 375 degrees F.
Deep-fry the slices until they are golden brown.
Remove chips with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
