    ROMANIAN GRILLED SAUSAGES

    List of Ingredients




    4 to 5 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
    ½ cup water
    1 lb ground chuck
    2/3 lb coarsely ground pork
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 ½ tsp salt
    1 tsp freshly ground pepper
    ½ tsp dried thyme
    ½ tsp dried basil
    ½ cup beef stock

    Recipe



    In food processor, puree garlic with water. In large bowl, mix garlic puree, with meat, baking soda, salt, pepper, thyme and basil. Add beef stock and mix well. For each sausage, take 1/3 cup of meat mixture and roll between palms of hands into sausage shape, about 4 inches long and ¾ inches in diameter. Place sausages side by side in airtight container; refrigerate over night. Preheat barbecue to medium. Oil gill. Place sausages on grill and cover; cook 10 minutes or until cooked through. Turn sausages over 3 to 4 times during cooking. Serve at once.
