    1 ham hock or pork loin
    1 smoked sausage
    400 gramme split peas
    1½ litre water
    2 sliced winter carrots
    1 big chopped onion
    2 chopped potatoes
    1 turnip-rooted celery
    1 bunch of celery
    2 sliced leeks
    12 peppercorns
    1 laurel-leaf
    Salt

    Recipe



    ) Boil the ham hock or pork loin for ±3 hours and take the meat off to
    put in the soup.
    2) Boil the split peas, chopped turnip rooted celery, winter carrots and
    onion also for 3 hours.
    3) Put the peppercorns, laurel-leaf, leeks, potatoes and celery in the
    soup and stew it for 1 hour.
    4) Slice the smoked sausage and put it in the soup.
    Serve with bread.
